Where do the purple & black vaccum hoses go?

Car is a 1987 camaro, that came from the factory with A/C. On my heater control assembly where all the vaccum hoses plug in I have 2 extra hoses. Where all the hoses plug in my purple hose splits into 2 and meets up with a black hose in a seperate plug or connector what ever you want to call it. What do these 2 hoses do? and where do they plug into? I don't see anyplace on the control assembley they could go, but the hoses are short so they have to go somewhere close.

Thanks for any help.

Purple = heater control valve, goes to the valve
Black = vacuum supply, goes to the vacuum canister

This is a second purple hose that I don't know where it goes. I pulled 2 contol assemblies today from 2 different cars and neither one had this second purple hose connected with a black hose. So can could you explain a little further what this extra 2 hoses I have are there for?
