Car won't start with EST wires plugged in
Well I put the distributor back in after changing the intake manifold gaskets. It starts up fine to time the engine but when you plug the 4 wire plug back in it won't start. I am puzzled is something shorting out or something?
Oh, almost forgot it is an 83 T/A with the LG-4 and the computer still runs the Q-jet and the distributor.

LG4,
Take a close look at the wiring harness for the EST and distributor. Check farther back along the wiring harness to make sure you didn't pinch a wire under the intake when you replaced the parts.
I'm only mentioning it because I've done it at least once and it drove me almost goofy - O.K. - forget the "almost" part...

Found the problem
It was a ground wire that used to be bolted to one of the intake bolts that was not connected. Instead disturbing an intake bolt I put it under a valve cover bolt and it started right up. Just a simple thing that had me going for a few hours.
