I have a 1987 IROC-Z 350TPI. And in the mornings it fires right up, but when I drive it for any amount of time it takes a few cranks to get it goin. It has good fuel pressure, and I cant seem to chase it down. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanx

The draw on the battery is greater when it's hot out as opposed to when it is cold. Assuming that the cold you are talking about is greater than 32*F IIRC. Ruling out the possibility of the batttery your starter could be subjected to heat soak.

I had a problem kinda like that on my daily driver, where it would fire up fine in the morning or when its been sitting for a while, but if i drive around and getting to operating temp if i went out to the car sometimes it would take a few times to finally get it started i replaced the coolant temp sensor and it fixed it (if your car has one)
