Well to start off I can't see the casting numbers on the back. The problem is that there is a little oil gally plug just above the timing cover. This is not on my L98 block and I thought it was a tale tale sign of a 4 bolt 350. I just bought the car and am working to fix and repair it. It has the 305 centerbolt heads. I am just looking for a little insight before really taking it down to find out.

Look at the casting numbers. Get a flashlight and a little inspection mirror if you have to. It's the only way to make sure of what you've got. Although, that won't necessarily tell you whether the factory installed the 4-bolt caps into that specific piece of cast iron or not, just like having the oil plug won't. Only way to know that for certain is to pull the oil pan. They don't drill extra holes anywhere but the main saddles when they use the other caps.

Yeah I understand that, I did just check and found its a 1 pc. rear main. I just can't get a clean read on the casting numbers.
