NON-Thirdgen.

My RS has been giving me problems the past 6 mo's, so I jumped at the chance to pick up a 93 Dodge Shadow ES w/ new tranny and only 72k miles.

Anyway I got a 2.5L SOHC 4 Cyl (yeah I know... going from V8 to 4C sucks ***).

What can I do to it to make it faster. I heard with a few decent mods I can run into the low 12s. I know a lot of people on these boards know more than anything I can find out on the Dodge ones.

Anyway, whats this engine need. For example thirdgens generally need to breathe (open up the exhaust from headers on out, throw on an open air filter, and you're pretty much good to go.) Well what's this little sucker need to gain some speed--not going to the strip with it, but to pick up off the line and hold up on the freeway.

is that the mitsubishi engine or is it the 2.2L?

I literally haven't even opened the hood. I drove it straight home, no plates, and have driven it before when he put in the new tranny about 400 miles ago (bout 6 mo's ago).

Anyway, from the VIN I know it is a 2.5L L4 SMPI 4cyl SOHC engine.

I don't think it's turbo or the mitzy engine.

and I don't know what a 'camaro_1986_19 post' is, is that a person or a type of post or something?

Is there a Shadow only site?
