i have a 91 z28 with a 305 but i want a 350 and my question is can i buy a crappy 350 and rebuild it myself with nice heads and all or is it cheaper to buy a new one ?????????
how hard is to rebuild and engine to put it on my z?

you can buy any cheap old 350 and make it fast with heads/cam/intake. a 350 is a 350 only difference would be the compression. I wouldnt just buy any old 350 from a boneyard tho...id get one of GMs cheapo crates and build it as you get the time.

 

im gonna change cam,heads atc so how much is a good compression gm 350?or is the 383 better?
