suspected puff of smoke at wot

i was driving around today and saw my friend in his truck and we proceeded to do the usual ***** out 20 punch from a light. after i blew by him, he said he saw a puff of smoke right when i punched it. he said it looked like it was whitish. could this be becuase i have no cats on the car? it wasnt a very large puff, becuase i never noticed it in the rear view. the car never smokes at any time. could it have been becuase it was kind of chilly out side? tell me its not my head gasket or rings.

A white puff of smoke in a WOT situation is usually just unburnt fuel.

thats what i figured too. after we got to his house, my friend goes, "damn, you need an oil change". i asked him why and he said it puffed when i punched it. i couldnt understand how an oil change would stop that but oh well. probably just the lack of cats and the sudden dump of gas. thanks for the help.

Yeah, I agree that its just unburned fuel from the WOT enrichment.

Your friend probably thought it was oil burning from it becoming so deteriorated by age and abuse that it would get passed the rings and seals. If this was the case believe me YOU would KNOW..
