I wouldn't venture much beyond 10:1. Different heads will have a slightly different absolute detonation point. But will not vary that much.
Better to snug up the cr to a usably close but safe level for the fuel your going to use and concentrate on airflow improvements to get your target horsepower level.
You can make serious horsepower at 9.8:1.

Heck, up here in the Rockies, I would bet you could go to 11:1.
--That's of course if you could find 93 at the pump. Most of are gas is 91 for premium & 87 for regular.
High altitude has that slow burning effect on fuel like higher octane does.
