Elec.Fuel pump running after shutoff

I have a 92 RS with the 6cyl. fuel injection
I just replaced the electric fuel pump. Is it normal for the pump to run about 15 secs after the car is shut off?
I don't remember this before. Thanks

It sounds like a relay is stuck on or something. I don't know if your car has one but it might be worth checking out.

That's completely normal. The fuel pump is powered by both the fuel pump relay AND the auxilliary oil pressure switch. As long as there is residual oil pressure (above 4-7 PSIG), the pump will run. In colder temperatures, the oil pressure bleeds off more slowly, so the fuel pump will run on a little longer.
