oil guage connection?

oil guage connection?

Since I put in the 77 350 I havent been able to get my oil gauge to work. anyone know how to fix it? it is pinned to the up possition. it doesnt move nomatter what. all the other gauges work thnks

That means the wire isn't hooked up, assuming that it comes down when you turn the key off. If it stays pinned even with the key off, then it's a mechanical issue with the gauge itself.

It's a dark blue wire with a big round rubber boot sort of connector on it. The sending unit is a can about 1¼" diameter by 2" long, right behind and under the distributor.

no its pinned always. it was working b4 the swap. where is the hook up for it? I cant remember taking it off. thnks
