305 is cubic centimetres, the size of the engine. 305 translates to 5L. a 5.7L engine is a 350...

and it's 8 cylinders either way

cubic centermeteres?

305 doesnt mean cubic centimeters it means 305 cubic inches the 5L means it is a 5.0 litre engine and v8 means the shape and amount of cylinders the engine has.
