Haynes manual
Hey, does anyone in here have the Haynes Firebird 82-92 manual? If so, could you tell me what you think of it? Is it any good? Could you email me a copy? If you have one scanned in or so.

or look for a chiltons, the G0D of auto repair manuals. :hail: :hail:
But if you're looking for basic stuff, the haynes works for the $15 bux you're gonna spend on it.

I have both haynes and chitern and all they really say is put it back like you took it out, but if it was already in wrong or you took it all out and can't remember how it went back you are stuffed.
So I went and bought a real live workshop manual from the dealer $63. It tells you where that nut went and how to fix anything, and you don't have to remember how anything came apart because it shows you.By the time you have been frustrated, and paid out for the cheap manual, you could have earned the extra and bought the proper book. Totally recommended.
Best of all, it is full of vital info, which is not in the other manuals, like how the cooling systems are not able to cool the car in the summer with the A/C on after a long trip when you hit traffic!!
Well I call it the best manaul ever. On the cover it just says 1983 Chevolet Camaro which is for my sons car. But on the inside it says - just have a look - hey ede and 83 Camaroman already mentioned Helm inc, and that's what is says inside. Helm. P.O. Box 07130, Michigan 48203.Of course I wish I'd known about the manual before I'd finnished the restoration,
but at least it doesn't have any grease prints on it.The Haynes manual is lets say well I don't want to be sued, but they used to be good, but there is just too much info missing. I bought their book on paint and for example it mentions clearcoat, but I can't see in the book anywhere where it says that clear coats need rubbing down and buffing to get the finnish right. How much use is that.
