Oil pan removal

Y pipe is removed
Engine is jacked up (think bellhousing is against firewall/floor)
Counterweighs up
Still can't get the oil pan to clear the bottom of the bellhousing.
The pan is weged by the engine up front, the crossmember in the middle and bellhousing in the back. A dent in the pan might get the 1/4" I need for clearance.......... Who has removed pan with engine in car?
Search shows some have done it except Damon said trans had to be pulled back (so thats an engine pull if your that far)

check the thread about "Changing an oil pan on a Camaro" below for more info, or a search. I have done it, not fun but possible. I mention in the other thread about pan differences that can make or break the in car pan change. Good luck with it.
