CAR TUNS OVER BUT WONT START. FUEL PUMP COMES ON,SPARK AT COIL,SPARK AT PLUG. REPLACED ALL IGNITION PARTS. BUT IF I GET UNDER THE HOOD WITH THE KEY ON TURN THE DIST. OPPOSITE DIRECTION I HEAR WHAT SOUNDS LIKE FUEL ENTERING THE RAILS. ABOUT 4 TIMES OF TURNING THE DIST BACK AND FORTH THE CAR WILL START RIGHT UP. ALSO WHEN I DO THIS THE FUEL PUMP RELAY CLICKS AFTER THE RAILS SOUND LIKE THERE FUEL. RUNS FRIGGIN BAD *** AFTER STARTED,BUT I HAVE TO DO THIS EVERY TIME I START IT.IVE OHMED WIRES TAKEN THINGS IN AND OUT OF SYSTEM JUST TRACK DOWN THE PROB. PLEASE ANY TYPE OF HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

Incidentally, you can stop yelling - we can hear you fine... (All CAPS indicates yelling.)

Have you tried starting the engine with the EST bypass connector disconnected? You may have an issue with the EST. Reset the base timing to spec and try it. Let us know what happens, please.

 

I have an 89 GTA 350 Tpi Vortec. I am having problems with my EST connector. Everytime I unplug it to set the timming the engine cuts out and will not re-start with the EST connector Disconnected. It will only start when the EST connector is connected. Anyone have any idea's as to why this is happening, or any test procedures? Please Email me if more info is needed GTA350FNC@AOL.COM. Thanks
