I'm thinking of making an old truck fuel injected but need to know where to put the knock sensor on the older block. Will it just fit in a hole that has a pipe plug in it.

Same place as always... SBCs have had a knock sensor hole since 1955, they just called it a drain plug hole until about 81.

The drain is the best location - either side.

Don't put it in your head. In my head, it would detect way too much rattle and send false data....
