Can I Do It?

ok i have an 86 iroc with a 305 and i want some opinions on if this is do-able. Right now my mods are: crane 423/446 lift cam, edelbrock headers, gutted cat, hooker super comp exhuast system, JET air foil, ,K&N, ported plenum, gutted MAF, and lake wood lca. i ran a best of 9.78 @73 mph(2.35 60) in the 8th, this was with EL BALDO tires and in 90 degree weather. Now next spring im shooting for maybe an 8.8-8.9 with these mods:

Port heads, beefer valve springs, 1.94 intake 1.5 exhaust valves, install ported slp runners i have in my garage, 1.6 roller rockers, an afpr, bfg drag radials and a 2600-2800 stall converter.

Is my 8 second goal obatianable? I whole heartedly belive the car could run a 9.45-9.5 with a 2.05 60. So am i trying to overshoot my cars capabilities or am i underestimating them? thanks for the input

lol, anyways, to the question at hand, I'm bad with 1/8th mile times, take it to a 1/4 mile track and I can help. j/k

this is better suited for the drag racing board, just to let you know for future reference.

good luck though.
