Intake

i saw a (i think) 91-92 or 90-92 cold air intake setup only for those years though, it specifically says. why couldnt i use it on my 88 iroc Z? or does anyone know a cold air intake setup i can buy for my 88 iroc z 305tpi.. any help would be wonderful, thanks!
