How to lash valves for LO3 with LT1 cam- any different than Haynes method?
I learned how to lash valves according to the haynes manual method-
#1 piston TDC, do all of the specified intake and exhaust valves, then turn it 360* to #6 and do the rest. This IS the correct way to do it with the stock cam.
When I did a comp 280H cam in another car, comp has another method, by basically doing each valve independantly. This IS necessary with this cam because I was curious and tried a couple valves using the Haynes method and they were either too tight or too loose as soon as you turn the motor.
so,
An LT1 cam is obviously lumpier than the LO3 cam. What method is correct for lashing an LO3 with an LT1 cam in it? Using 1.6 roller rockers by the way. I have my own preferance for tightening the rocker after achieving zero lash, it's just the tightening order I'm not sure about.
