Wich cam on the new 350
Ok, im building a 350 for my 86 sc. (trying any way, you see my paycheck now is only $90/ week, so its hard)that said, i have a .030 over block, 10-10.5:1 flat top hyperutectics, a street dominator intake, and a 750 holley vacc. sec. elec. choke, and basicly stock heads. Which cam?? Any other comments are apreciated.

Need more information. Like rear gear ratio. Auto or 5 speed man
etc. with your income I'd say none of the choices in your poll are right for you.
Pick a smaller one. 216 @.050 duration or less. All of the choices
in the poll will be gas hogs and require a high stall converter
and high rear gear ratio. And keep you broke.
Drive the car and watch the tach for a week.
Get an idea of your usuable rpm range now.
Pick the cam that matches the rpm range your motor is actually usually operated at. A well selected mild cam will improve the
torque and horsepower in this range.
Combine this with other improvements like ported heads, compression, induction and exhaust to improve *usable power*.
If you have a stock converter and stock rear gear, it will be smaller than you think.

Well you see im trying to get a better job right now. but my 305 is still running so its not like I need it now. Also im not really concerned with gas mileage. And im trying to find a 5 speed so i wont need a converter. As for the rpm range i drive in im an extreme leadfoot im at 5000 all the time. And i know a guy that can do a wicked set of heads prolly for nothing. do you know if the extreme energy are any good. Thanx Andrew
