dip stick 305 to 350 block Q
Will any chevy 350sb dip stick work in any chevy 350sb ?
I know a 305 dipstick register marks won't be true for a 350.
Also, is there an o-ring or sealant to use when replacing dipstick?
Thanks!

Depends...
Any driver's side dipstick will work in any driver's side dipstick block, 262 / 265 / 267 / 283 / 302 / 305 / 307 / 327 / 350 / 400; except for around 78-79, when they made them go into the side of the pan instead of into the block. Any pass-side dipstick will fit into any pass side dipstick block. CID doesn't matter for any of this, because the marks do not care about, or even notice, the cylinder diameter or the crank journal offset.
No O-ring. Use silicone on a driver's side into-the-pan setup to keep it from weeping.
Always replace the tube and dipstick as a set, because they aren't all exactly the same length, and that can cause them to register incorrectly.

Guess I was wrong about that. I appreciate the info.
