whats up guys, i dont know if u guys have read my post about my run in with a deer, but my car will be down and out for a while. So while its down and out i want to put some more torque under the hood. So what is a cheap, but good quality 383 stroker kit? Also do they have any for 87 and up blocks? i really want a roller cam. well heres the combo im thinking about
87 and up 350 block
lt4 cam with 1.6 rockers
vortec heads (with spring up grade)
SDPC intake base (ported)
SLP runners (ported) (i already have these)
Stock penum (ported)
52mm TB
25-26 lb/hr injectors
holley afpr
this is what im think about. Any suggestions are welcome , i want to hear what works, and what doesnt.
What would be a combo that would put me into the mid 12's is what im asking. Thanks

I dont think you'll see 12's with that setup unless you had a really light car. The cam and induction are bad. Also if you plan on buying vortec's new then just go ahead and save up a few hundred more and buy yourself a decent set of aftermarket heads ...keep in mind Vortec's are just stock truck heads. Also, even with the spring upgrade they wont handle any roller cam for too long. You'll need new springs, screw-in studs, and maybe even have the guides cut down to accept higher cam lifts.
