motor build,wats better

hi,
im building a new motor for my camaro,we want to be able to tell it has a cam in it at a stop light, not to much of one,but more than a little one,im looking for at least 450 hp's,and able to handle a 150-175 hp shot of nitrous, extra, and handle 6500 rpm's,ill have to have a good rpm band, because it will be infront of my 6 speed, now,my performer rpm heads will be going onto this engine,im thinking ill have them ported a little, does anyone know how much this usually cost?also,i already have headers, and full 3in. catback, weiand stealth intake,im gettin a 750 carb. and accel ignition,so my big question is,should i go high compression,or lower compression, with the weiand blower, for 1500 or whatever it is,the one in summit for single carb,im thinking just higher compression, because it will be cheaper, what do you guys think,oh yea,ill be getting forged rods, and pistons, probably just new cast summit crank, let me know, thanks.

You want a low compression ratio for a street blower motor
that runs on 92/94 octane pump gas.
the cost of building a high cr or low cr blower motor is ther same.
You'll need good quality (forged or T-6 hypereutectic pistons) in either case. Just different dome types.
Speed pro JE KB etc.
You want a cr of less than 8.5:1. the lower the cr, the more boost you can run for a given octane gas.
You should be able to get your Performer rpm heads ported and flow tested by a professional shop for $500/$800 including a
new valve job. I would use a solid lifter cam for your application
A Crane Cams
PowerMax
F-280-2
grind #114681 would do nicely. It will have a performance
idle but still very street friendly. lots of power.
specs are 244/252@.050" ..518/.536" w/1.5 rockers.
This cam will perform well with that supercharger
and make power from 2500 to 6500+ rpm

alright,
im building probably a 355,i heard that 383's are not very strong on the bottom end, besides,i really dont need all that much more torque,i wont be able to hook up as it will be when its done, till i get some suspension work done, trying to not spend any more than need be.so,are you saying i should just go with a low cr motor, with that blower, and run good amount of boost, that, this will be my best route?i would luv to have a blower lurking under my hood,im thinking im going to go with the summit stage 2 rods, summit cast crank, and forged pistons, not sure on which on the pistons yet, and, get my heads ported some, how many hp's do you think ill have with say that cam,and the rest of this, with 8.5 cr and good amount of boost?with a 750 edelbrock,or road demon carb?thanks alot for your time.
