heater core

I heard some of you guys talking about pulling heater cores out really quick.... tell me how! I REALLLY don't wanna pull out my whole friggin dash to do this... also those lines that go into the core off the water pump, should I just cap them off at the pump or put a hose on there connecting both ends?

Look under the pass side dash for a small black panel, if you remove it and can access the core then you should be able to leave the dash alone. That's how I did mine.

In the '84 I don't think you will have to do anything to the dash.

If you want to bypass the heater core, living in Florida it should not be a big deal, just connect the two hoses together. I use anout an 8" long 3/8" diameter piece of pipe.

Just remember, no heat in the care if you do the bypass. And also cap the heater core pipes that come out of the fire wall. This may help keep coolant from dripping on to the carpet.
