I've seen dyno's runs testing these units they tend to cost power when installed on some engines. True rollers (timing chains) are highly recommended as an alternative and at about 1/3 the price.

I had the pete jackson gear drive on my car, sounded pretty cool but it was messing with my knock sensor and screwing up timing so I took it off and went with the comp cams chain setup.
The engine builder that recomended the gear drive and told me that it would work fine on a TPI, wouldnt give me my $$$ back for it when it didnt work fine. So it up for sale, if you want it let me know and Ill give it to you for like 75% of what ever I paid for it. Im not saying it doesnt work or isnt cool, just that the TPI motors tend not to like it, and Ived heard this from a few other people.

I'm using one and love it, but my car isn't driven daily. It's a quiet one and sounds really good, not too loud. I got it new for $50 from a guy I know, but for the price, just get a double roller chain, unless you really want the sound.
