Building a race car, what can I do to shed some weight? Im already ditching the sound deadener as well as most of the interior.

Are you legal to race with a fiberglass hood, doors, front fenders, rear deck lid. Lightweight aluminum rims, driveshaft, Aluminum heads, lighter pistons, flywheel, harmonic balancer, Aluminum water pump and radiator. case of slim fast., hahaha just kidding.

Try getting rid of that big rubber spoiler. Or replacing all of those big heavy suspension and brake components with better and lighter aftermarket pieces. If this is a drag only car, you can eliminate a lot of weight getting rid of those huge sway bars, which will also help your launch. Obviously remove all the unnecessary power accessories. You can remove a lot of wieght from a car but it can be expensive depending on what you simply remove and what you replace with a lighter component. How fast is this car going to be?

Depending on the power of my engine build up, somewhere between 11.99 and 10.99. We'll see how far my budget will take me.

You could just remove the doors, hood, hatch and windshield.... but I don't think tech would like that too much..... Reminds me of a joke...
You might be a hot rodder if...
If you shaved off your window tint to save weight.
