air pump removal question.

I want to get rid of the smog/air pump but retain the serpintine belt system, is there a pully that can take the place of the air pump or do i just use a different belt?

I was also thinking of if theres a way to put another alternator there, just for the sterio or to take the place of the airpump to keep the original routing of the belt.

Theres a tech article in on the site here. I think it says just to use a different sized belt.

You can remove the AC compressor and smog pump and retain the serpentine belt system without the pulley. I did. Check my site on car domain there is a picture there.
