SDPC claims 357hp from its vortec tpi crate engine. Does anyone know what its got for a cam in it?

I hope you're aware that this same motor with a GM RamJet intake manifold or a TPIS Mini Ram III ( vortec) would make way over 400 horsepower and tons of torque.

The long tube runner design of the TPI intake really restricts the
horsepower that a motor can make, even with hi flow runners etc. The overall cost is the same or cheaper. The result is much better.

If you want to go with the Vortec/ fastburn head why shackle
them with a "low perf" manifold design like the TPI.
There are better/ more powerfull manifold designs available for the vortec type heads, like the RamJet or Mini Ram III.
You'll get way more for your $$$ and go faster.
Compare that....

well i have been looking at the holley stealth ram. Maybe that along with a good pair of heads and a cam and I will be close to my 400hp goal

Thats an avenue worth exploring too.

Once you get away from the TPI style manifold the rest is easy.
The long tube runner manifold looks pretty, but again by it's very design it presents a brick wall for higher horsepower.
I wouldn't waste my time/$$$ wth the SDPC vortec/TPI intake
or any other TPI based intake for anything beyond 360 horsepower.
