Reverse Lights.....Wires from tranny missing!

84 Z 28, T 5 tranny.

Backup lights don't work.

Trouble shooting the problem I worked my way to the tranny. There are no wires coming off of the tranny for the switch.

The switch from the tranny has a two pin socket and is located near the front on the driver's side correct?

The wires are no where to be found. At this point in time I am sure I'll have to wire it myself.

That switch provides the ground correct? Before I hack into anything I want to make sure.

Thanks again.

It is not ground, 12V goes to the switch, and when in reverse, passes through to the bulbs.

The harness has a dark green and a dark blue wire. It breaks out from the main harness right behind the distributor.

Dude, you can get those anywhere.

BTW, my lights won't stay on either. They flash on and off like a bad connection. I'm going to replace the connector first, then the switch if it still happens.
