guys when my car runs it smells bad outta the exhaust, like it's burning rich, doesnt matter if it's cold or hot out, it has the q-jet on it, no emissions headers no cat, no codes, what would cause this? i have an a/f gauge and it doesnt read rich?

 

Thats what it smells like with no cat. Mine smells the same...wife says it smells like fireworks.

 

well i personally dont have a problem with the way it smells, smells like a performance car to me but my girlfriend says it stinks

 

Sucks when the smell gets in your clothes and **** too.

 

It shouldn't be getting onto your clothes...unless you have an exhaust leak. Hmmnnn...i see by your first post that you have hedders....so of COURSE you have a leak! I know what you mean...I can only drive my camaro for short distances before the smell gets to me. But, I gotta fix the leak b4 I clean the upholstery.

 

well i retightened the whole exhaust, and you can only smell it at the tail pipes
