11.3V at purple wire, 12V at Batt wire bench tested started good....no start!!!
Its an 89 Iroc-Z. I get 11.3 volts at the purle wire disconected and 6.3 connected to S terminal on solenoid while turing the key. I have 12V at large terminal on solenoid. I turn the key with it all hooked up and all I get is a faint click you can only feel not hear. I bench tested the starter at AutoZone and it came back good. Why wont it even turn over on the car connect to its wiring?? I hooked it up installed and hooked it up just laying in the engine bay eighter way it does the same????

Sounds like you have a high resistance connection or component somewhere....
Start at the ignition switch, then the neutral safety start switch, and work your way along the wire to the starter.... somewhere you'll find 12V on one side of something and 7V on the other, that's your culprit

one more thing, just cause the starter turned over at autozone, doesnt mean it has enough torque to turn the motor over, then again you said you tried it with out it bolted to the engine, i'd double check the wiring again
Low voltage at no load
You have a real Bad connection.. Your starter in your car goes through a series of connections before it reachs your Battery..
The Prime Candidates are : Neutral switch ( clutch switch) Vats Relay Firewall Harness Electrical Molar , No ENGINE GROUND but consistant Body ground looping through accessories, and or Rear ECM Ground points.. and lastly the Ignition switch.
If it benchs fine and your stil having a problem your most definately overlooking something... I am a veteran Electrician in the automotive industry and am well aware of most common failures with wiring harness's and troubleshooting fuel inj problems..I also rebuild ECM's and have schematics for anything on the chevy camaro, particular to 89 aswell..
