What all would I have to change to put in carbed engine in a 4th gen?
I am building a 406 and am looking to maybe finding a 93 or 94 v-6 4th gen camaro to put it in. Only thing I can think of being a problem is the HEI distributor. Can I get it under the cowl? I've seen carbed engines in 4th gens in magazines but I think that they used a crank trigger. Anyone have suggestions?
Motor mounts are in different places on the LT1 it is back further on the passenger side. Hood clearance should be a prob look how low the intake is now add around six inches for carb and air filter (hole in hood may even come close to winshield )...

You may run into more problems than distributor clearance. Especially if you live in an area where you have strict emissions standards, and youll be running a carb.

No emissions in my area and will have a cowl hood. I've seen it done before with a big block and a carb so my 406 should work. I can also fab some different type of motor mount if need be.
BECAUSE I WANT IT THAT WAY!! Is that good enough for you? Don't tell ME I'm silly!
