Alternator and Power Steering bracket
I'm trying to remove the aluminum bracket that houses the alt and p/s pump as it has cracked where the top bolt joins the alt. I may go with an aftermarket system or just replace the stock bracket from the junkyard. Question is, can I remove the bracket from the block with the p/s stuff still attached? It looks like I need to remove the pulley as I have removed all the bolts that I can see and the thing doesn't budge at all. If I have to use a puller to get the pulley out, it looks as though I will have to remove the fans and possibly the radiator as there is no clearance at all to get a puller on there. Haynes does not mention removing the fans but it does reference that a puller is necessary. Thanks for the help.

I was looking into removing that bracket a bit ago for some sandblasting and beautification. From what I gathered you cannot remove the bracket without removing the ps pump. I saw a bolt behind the pump. You can't remove the pump without pulling the pulley. You can't remove the pulley without removing the radiator. I didn't end up making it pretty.
Again, these are what I found and are not necessarily true in all cases.
