Bumper

I was planinng on removing my front bumper to do some work on it and before i get started on this i want to know how hard this would be my father tryed to tell me it was weilded on but i would hate to get into an accedent if that was true, i was looking around it yesterday and coudnt find any real screws that where obviously for it but it was late and i was tired so i think ill take another look at it tomorrow maybe but i wanted to get some help before i dove into the project

(its an 84 pontiac trans-am)

cover theres no cover? if u mean the fiber glass or what ever it is thats what im trying to get off

the bumper is boltd on, under the cover. you have to remove te cover, maybe 10 or 12 screws and clips depending on year and all. look around the radiator support and inside the front edge of the fenders. all 10mm hex near as i can remember. the bumper is held on with 8 nuts on studs.

thats a bumper cover.. the bumper is the metal thing it covers.. and yeah it does come off.. how could you weld plastic? tell ur dad hes silly! and as ede said the actual bumper comes off too..
