Is it possible to adapt an LT1 intake to my 87 5.7 with Vortec iron heads? I want a high rpm alternative to using the Scoggin Dickey or Ramjet intakes with these heads and am wondering if you could/would do such a thing.

Thanks in advance.

My FAQ at www.LT1intake.com says it's not possible.

You would have to modify an LT-4 intake and it will work in theory, however a TPIS Mini-ram III is specifically designed for Vortec style heads.

Whats so wrong with the Ramjet intake. It is about the same
money as a Modified LT-1 and less than half the Mini Ram III.

Maybe Edelbrock needs to tap into this market with a E-Tec
Ram manifold for EFI.

Now you're talking!!!

As far as the Ramjet...after you factor in fuel rails, injectors, TB, and all the accessories, along with the throttle cable bracket and cables its going to cost about $1000 then I have to consider programming. I may just do it all and go with the ECU that comes with the ramjet.

Thanks for the replies....
