Questions about storing for a long time?

Theres a good chance that Im going to be gone for a while (1 to 2 years) and I want to make sure that my car and my truck don't get messed up from sitting that long. I did a search and read a few things but it seems that everyone has there own methods, but whats the best?

The car will be stored in the garage, it has about a half a tank of gas in it (93 octain) and its been sitting for about 6 months already while I work on it here and there.

The truck will be sitting outside, I have a friend that is going to stop buy like once a month to start it up and move it around a little and just make sure its all ok.

Is there anything else I should do to protect stuff? stabil in the gas?, full tank or empty? Any ideas would help. Thanks

Kevin

If you can get someone to start and drive the car once every couple of months you really wouldn't need to do much at all. If the car is going to be sitting cold dead for two years, you have a little work to do to prepare.

Thanks Vader. I guess I won't have to worry about the truck being that a friend of mine is going to come over and drive it here and there. But the car still isnt running so I guess Ill have to do a bunch of the stuff listed in that link to get it ready to sit. Hopefully with some amount of luck when I get back I will be able to finish the car.
