zz4 or zz9?

i have an 89 formula 305tpi all stock except full exhaust and hypertech chip. i was wanting to know with stock heads which cam would be better the zz9 or zz4 cam or is there a better one than those? i would be willing to change the torque converter. i just want my car to be peppy until i build a 383 stroker. thanks for any info.

Sounds like the good old LT1 roller cam is the ticket for you. Works very nicely on a 305 and doesn't need head work to fit

Should be fine with the stock torque converter, too.
