car is just running plain bad

So my car is just running bad. I don't really know how to describe it. Sometimes its fine and other times its bad. It studders, hesitates, sucks a lot of gas, and has no low end, i have to keep it at like 2k all the time. Its got new plugs and wires, new oil and filter, new cap and rotor, cleaned the air cleaner. Don't know what else to check. Think the engine is just wearing out (120k miles)?

first of all when you put your new distributer in are you sure you put the plugs back on in the right firing order? i didnt when i put mine back together and it will run like ***. make sure there all in the right firing order first, if that dont do it check your timing cuz it could be off.. shouldnt be your engine, unless its race it alot

All the plugs are in the right order. The car has been raced a few times of course, but not regularly. I'm trying to keep the ol lg4 in decent shape till I get my 350 ready to go. But I haven't checked the timing yet, didn't even cross my mind

yes definitly check the timing, it might possible be off a few degrees. also check your fuel filter and fuel pump, they could be bad as well and that would explain bad gas milage plus engine problems
