Holy Crap!!
Holy Crap!!
I'm going to be a father. Due date's around September 10th. Talk about getting a curveball thrown at'cha.. hehe.
Now, to keep this remotely tech, I think I'm going to sell my '89 IROC. Here are the specs on the car:
1989 IROC-Z, pictures of it can be found in the Reader's Ride section.
305 TBI engine, auto, 2.7whatever open diff rear. Under 100k miles on it.
Here are the problems with the car:
- Interior in not-too-good shape. Front's fine, although slightly dirty. Rear left seat had a battery left in it by a friend of mine, and of course the battery leaked, destroying that seat. The seat back is fine.
- Exterior paint could use some touching-up, especially on the hood.
- One rim cracked along the rim, hit a curb. Has a slow leak that leaks more when the car sits for a while. (Sounds strange, I know.)
- Problem with the electric fans. They work, but they won't cut on until the temp gauge gets into the red, then the fans cut off at 220. Just putting the switch to the AC position works for turning the fans on, though.
- The exhaust, umm... Well, the cat is completley messed up, and the muffler fell off.I went back and picked it up, though, so I still have it. heh
Some GOOD things about the car:
- K&N open element air filter (admit it, you were going to do that when you bought the car anyways), and I do still have the original air cleaner for emissions purposes.
- Tranny and TC about 10k miles old (I have the paperwork)
- Engine runs strong.
- Stewart's water pump.
Some other issues... Right now, the fuel pressure regulator is waaayyy messed up, which caused the fuel pump to go out. I'll be fixing both of those before I sell the car to anybody.
I'm thinking of selling the car for around 1500, but that's not firm yet. I feel like making a roadtrip, so I'll drive the car across the country to a buyer, but I'll probably just charge them gas or something. Maybe throw in a few beers when I get there.
If anyone's interested, contact me and I'll get you all the information about the car I can, like.. any problems I missed in the above description. I'll even throw in a speaker enclosure for dual 12's that fits in the pathetic excuse for a trunk area.
Oh yeah, and I'm going to be a dad.
