What size p ushrod for 383 stroker?

Hey guys I bent a couple pushrods and i dont know what size i need to buy for replacements!

The car is 3 hours away so i cant measure them. Is there any way to know what size they are? is it typically the same length for a 383?I have not been able to get in touch with him to verify!

Thanks,
Shane

for the best fit you need to use a length checker to know the ideal push rod length. as a rule for every .050 to .100 increase in cam lift you'd want to add a tenth to the push rod.

The push rods do not care what the crank jounal offset is. We can't tell what length you'll need just from telling us it has a 400 crank in it, any more than we could if you told us the car is white.

Only way to be sure is to measure it. Like ede said though, with all stock valve train parts and no milling of the block or the heads and standard thickness head gaskets and a whole long list of other things, the rule of thumb is, you'd want to go up one .050" increment in push rod length for every .050" of cam lobe lift your cam has above about .280".

I'd be more worried right at this moment about figuring out why they bent, than what the length is.
