ATTENTION YALL! TPI TO CARB questions

Ok first off

Im not rich

I couldnt afford to keep the Malfunctioning TPI together so i pulled it

I got a new
edelbrock 650 4barrell
edelbrock high rise alum, intake
new HEI distributer
New Carter inline elect pump

heres the deal
ripped the tpi off
and over time and aggravation purchased the above parts

now the car is timed out, ready to roll but it only runs for 4-10 mins and then idles down and dies...the reason
the carter pump still runs and lets the pressure flow back down into the gas tank like its losing its prime
now the intank pump is still in and is un pugged so its not running..do any of you guys know if that pump has asome sort of lock out on it or something...this problem is hell and this is my daily driver..or was its been dead for a month now

oh the Inline pump is mounted under the hood. in line and pulling like its suppose to..the holley burned out when we mounted it under the car...any way any thoughts would be nice
and..I know TPIs are hell but theyre only hell when they work and when you have the loot to fix them..and i dont have it lol

People have had problems trying to pull through the stock intank pump. I would suggest removing it and replacing the assembly with one from a carbed car.

You could also ditch the Carter in-line and buy a Mallory three port regulator and use the stock in-tank pump.

Generally in-line pumps should be mounted as close to the tank as possible. They push a lot better than they pull.
