URGENT! truck stuck at work. HELP!

i just got a 86 F250 as my winter beater. 351W w/4bbl, automatic. the problem is, when i started it after work, it started and idled fine. i put it into gear, let off the brake, and it started moving while idling but it died every time i even touched the gas pedal. it would start accelerating, but stumble and miss a lot. if i let off the gas, it would be fine until i pressed it again. it completely dies if yu give it more than 1/4 throttle. does anyone have any ideas? i need to get this truck going, because my trans am is off the road til spring!

After checking the fuel filter, clean the choke linkages, set the choke position and high idle RPM.
