not third gen or even chevy related.
My buddy recently bought a 1970 ford f-250 as a project truck. It has a 360 ford motor in it.Are these very good performing motors. Can they be hopped up?I really have no clue.Thi was way before my time.
I was thinking one of you old timers could give me some info about it.

86,
Even by Ford standards, the 360 was considered a marine engine (i.e., boat anchor). It's not worth a lot of modification. The 351 is a more apt engine to modify, with better aftermarket support and a lot more portential. As long as it still propels the truck, just keep it running right, but don't get too excited about making lots of power with it.
