Alright....
Why TPI to carb. There are tons of posts discussing it but I will tell you my reason.
#1. TPI is EXPENSIVE. You can get a brand new Edelbrock Carb for the price of just the TPI runners. It includes pesky emissions stuff. I am in college, and we all know money is tight, right? That is the number one reason. A new intake and runners from Summit is @$650, I can get a new 350ci motor for that price. So that is why I like carbs. The TPI setup will stay on that car, but only because it is a restoration project and I dont want to mess with too much. I was thinking of this but opted against it. But now I strictly run carbs on all my other cars.
#2. Carb motors are easier to work on, (you don't need a computer to figure out error codes) more space, you get dirty injectors w/ TPI, in tank TPI fuel pump that likes to go bad, carb motors look clean easilly........ah thats all, but this is all just my opinion- I don't need all these headaches-
So that is why I like carbs
