Need suggestions on this setup
I am saving up for my paint and body work and am thinking
about upgrading my engine during the down time. I currently
have a pre-86 goodwrench 350 with a performer intake, and TES
headers. I am thinking about upgrading to a set of TFS 23
degree aluminum heads with a 64cc cumbustion camber. I am
thinking about using comp cams extreme energy 256 cam. It
is only a street driven car and doesn't see anything over 5000-
5500 rpms. I know that Chevy High Performance ran a similar setup with
a 268 cam and a performer rpm manifold and got 423 ft-lb of torque
at 4000 rpm and 416 hp at 5700 rpm. I felt that this setup would
deliver peak power around 5200 rpm and have a good amount of
torque through the low and midrange, which is what I am really
after. I am also looking to maintain egr so I need to keep the
performer intake and felt that the 256 grind would better suit its
rpm range.
So here are my questions:
Has anyone run a similar combo and what were the results?
What power do you think it should make?
What changes should I make to the CC carb?
Also, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to know also. I am considering an engine swap and I am looking for the most "bang for my buck" that I can get.
