Luvr,

It would help to know what year/engine/fuel system you have, since the codes vary somwhat between the different systems. A '34', for example can be a MAP sensor on a TBI engine or a MAF sensor on a TPI or MPFI engine.

The diagnosis would be slightly different for each type.

Luvr,

Scan again for error codes and make sure it is a '34'. If so, check the BARO sensor mounted to the firewall. Make sure the electrical connector is clean and tight. There is no vacuum line to the sensor on an '82 IIRC, so all you can do is test teh circuit. You can test the sensor with a handheld vacuum pump or manifold vacuum supply in the same manner that you would test a MAP sensor, but I believe the output is scaled differently.
