Is it the Cam making me stall?

Just put a big cam from a dirt track car into a 350 street car. It idels fine until i put it in gear. Then it just stalls. If you give it a little gas its fine. And man it sounds great.
Is the cam to big?
Could it be something else?

Snis,

Do you have an idea about the lift/duration/overlap specs of the cam? If you have a lot of overlap, idle vacuum can be very low. Also, depending on the timing of the cam, idle and low RPM power can be affected. Did you degree the cam when you installed it?
