Hi,
Just bought an 89 GTA, and it looks like the wheels are on the wrong way front and back. Right now there is more on the outside in the fronts than the rear, i.e. more offset in the rear. I'm thinking they are switched front and rear.

What way is it supposed to be? More rim in front, or more rim in the rear?

If you have the 16" Alum wheels they should have the cast markings (Front) & ( Rear) on them. Take a close look at them.

 

Sounds normal. The rears won't fit on the front- they'll hit the steering knuckle on the spindle.

The front wheels should look like they're "sticking out further" than the rears.

 

Thanks Damon, I was about 5 minutes away from switching them.
I just ckecked all the RPO codes, and am surprised how decked out this car is. Leather, Aluminum driveshaft JG1 (Shaft, prop, aluminum - hope that means driveshaft), 3.27 GW6, posi G80, 4 wheel discs, 5.7, everything but N10 dual cats . And it has brand new tires, passed smog no problem, faster than my old LG4 86 Z28 by alot, etc...
