removing AC equip info needed
I figure since I bypassed the AC compressor I mite as well go ahead and remove all the ac crap that I can.
I have a few questions thoe. I checked the pressure of the system with it off(wouldnt work b4 so no way to check it wile running) and it has about 20psi of pressure. how do I go about evacuating that?
allso since the ac compressor is bypassed can I remove it with out putting any thing in place of it?(looks like every thing should be ok with out it there)
and what else should I remove from the ac system?
Thanx in advance

To evacuate the system..you could take it to a shop and have them discharge it. Or you could just crack open a line and walk away for a little while. Do you have v belts or the serpentine(sp) belt? I have v belts and just cut the one that turns the compressor (I'm to lazy to take off the alternator belt). If you don't have the v belts, you will probably have to get a shorter belt. You can also take the condensor off, which is in front of the radiator. If you get a non ac heater box you can replace yours with it.
