elongate bolt holes on wheels?? is it possible??

I was just wondering if the holes on wheels can be elongated to accept 5 on 4.75 if the existing holes are 5 on 4.5?? If I was to take it to a machine shop would they be able to do this for me?? Would I have better luck just buying some adapters? or could totally new holes be drilled so the wheels would be like unilug?? both 4.75 and 4.5?? which is the best route and what is the price difference?

Dont elongate them, that would destroy them and probobly you. Depending on the wheel you can either have them redrilled ,or you can have your front rotors and rear axles redrilled . Using adapters will push the wheels out .

Depending on the wheel, you may not even want to redrill them. I will weaken the wheel--maybe to the point that it will break. Do you have any pictures? Or, if you can handle the added cost and the wheels sticking out further, you can go with some adapters. The 'best' solution is find wheels with the correct bolt pattern.

Sure you can do that, if you want to stay living for only just a short time longer, and don't care how many other people you take to the grave with you.

Don't. Just get the right wheels for your car.
