kind of maybe a quick question ....
here's the deal:
i've taken the exhaust my car (going to be redone) and started it up on open manifolds. the SES light is on - would this be because of the o2 sensor reading too much oxygen? and therefore dumping fuel into the chambers making the car lumpy?
would disconnecting the o2 sensors help or be a bad thing?
any help and/or info would be very much appreciated
thanks
Kyle

well i will be getting new headers to replace the bunk manifolds, which on the one side the 2 mounting bolts have broken, and with the headers comes the pipes to the cats.
now i would think that having these pipes installed would help a little. would i be wrong in assuming that?
the system that i'm wanting to get needs to be fabbed up so i need to drive the car to the exhaust shop, but that isn't until the spring anyway.
thanks for replying
